Welcome

Welcome...where do I begin? This blog is a rich collection of memories...the memories of HTS Academy (Or let us just say Hogwarts - The School). With this site, a lot of things have come alive. Including me. It has taught me about administration and advertising, and also about relationships with people and other admins. I have learned, sometimes the hard way, that people aren't always as they seem. Join me in my journey, and the journey of HTS. My site, and my life.

Common Rooms

I have finally given up hope that Professor James Daughtery will return, but on the bright side, I have created our common rooms.

I also created a most beautiful signature, with the online image creator, obviously. Plus, it has animation.

We now really have 30 members, recounted and all. We have been here for 21 days. Most of the members are quite active, especially staff.

100 posts!!

I got a hundred posts today, and HTS got 306. I also prepared my lesson plans today. Unfortunately, I left UoM, but in contrast, I may get the position of WEC Cheif of the Events Committee!!

K...nothing more to day. Enjoy reading, everyone who is reading.

Term 1

Hear ye...the official announcement was made today, and HTS starts Term 1 on Jan 1st 2007. Today I worked on a lot of things, main among them Diagon Alley, Gringotts and Professor Liam's Sub-boards. I also put in nice codes on the site, removed the unimportant codes and added a topic to each and every one of my boards.

I was overjoyed three minutes ago when I saw this. Total Topics: 99 - Total Posts: 217, Forum Age: 15 days Members: 26 .
In 15 days we have come from 36 posts to 217 posts!! Ya members...you rock. Personally I have now recorded 80 posts.

Yet one of the 26 members is a WEC reported, and from the 24 left (Not including me) 5 or so are unsorted, and we are missing Professor James Daughtery from our site, yet we have not done poorly in my eyes. Another very important thing is that I have created a new email adress for HTS (admin.hts@gmail.com)

We had one Birthday Yesterday and two Today, and I wished all of them. My board has now been rated by 4-5 people, notable among them (for she rated today for the second time) Ecko Creseant, HM of BCA.

Note to self: We have 35 boards on the main page. Woah!!

2 and 5 25!!

HTS mae 25 members today, and Term 1 will start on Jan 1st. I also enrolled for a lot of courses on WEC, and I am now a students at WH. I am also thick on the pursuit of a new site, called Evan Hall, Awards for Excellence in RPG.

I am leaving on Tue & Wed, and most probably my site power will go to any one of my lovely staff members.

To anyone actually reading this...Happy Holidays! The spirit of holiday is in teh air!

Courage it takes

Courage. I did something which required a lot of courage on my part, I put up my board for rating. My goodness...it was scary, I was so scared everyone was going to say it was the worst site they had seen. Of course...no one was so cruel to me, In fact, they were all very nice, and the forum received fairly good comments. We also received a list of things we need to improve on, and rest assured I am working on this list.

HTS earned their first two rewards, the common rooms and the ministry. The common rooms are still in progress, but the MOM is built, and our tenth member was our first ministry employee, a girl called Stella Lea Robinson.

5 Members!

HTS made 5 members today! Though only 1 is a student, 3 are professors and the last one is me, I still consider this good for being on only for having been there only 7 days. Though it means only about 1 member every two days...I love it. After all, we have to go up to a higher level...really.

My god!

My computer crashed one or two days ago, and since then I have been agonising on whether or not there is a new member or not and whether they will wait to be sorted. Clearly, I assumed that like last time, I would not be able to regain the net till atleast 2 weeks, or if luck was bad, more. I was almost going mad. But I made a lot of plaintative requests, and I got the net back!!

Welll...my marks weren't so good this time [well not bad...of course not...but not as good as I can be], so it took a lot of persuasion.

I found that not so much has changed, and not so much has remained the same. I have completed a course on WEC for teaching, and I absoulutely loved it, I plan to ask all my teachers to take it. I took an administrative course as well, but I don't believe I finished it yet. Of course, Christmas is coming up, but HTS doesn't celebrate real life christmas, only on site one. I never celebrate it at all, now that I come to think of it, but I know it must be celebrated, at least on site.

My site graphics are finally set, though I'm still not happy with the on/off buttons. However, I think that on the whole, all is going well.

I have decided to leave Hogwarts Exquisite. I have no time to teach at the moment. I wrote my loveliest sorry letter before leaving the site. Someday I will return, and I will see the outcome.

HTS now has 3 members, one students, one professor-HOH and one me a headmistress. That's very good, though I still have to take Cody's interview.

May I, HTS, HogExquisite, WEC &All my members stay strong!

HTS Opened!!!

11th Dec 2006, record this date in all History, for HTS opened to the public today. I am still putting finishing touches, but everything seems basically in place, and I rejoice, for I have waited long and eagerly for this moment.

Now, I have to start advertising. This I am going to start as soon as I finish typing this post.

May the force be with HTS and me.

HTS! HTS!

HTS, it seems, never stops improving. I love my site, I can safely say I was never this good at making forums. I think I have changed over this past few months [very likely, I have grown up] and with it my whole style has changed too.

Anyway, I'm a bit tense at the moment. Every day, HTS gets nearer to it's opening. Tommorow, I have a debate, and my AT's [30 marks] is going on. I seem to have no more time in my life...and yet I have never enjoyed myself so much.

My only problematic problem at the moment is graphics. Much as I wish I still had PSP 7 to make my own, now I must ask other people to make them. And they have lives tooo...they can't design all the time. The result is that I'm very tense on whether HTS will be able to make the starting by monday. I will die if it doesn't.

Real Life. Net Life.

My real life is in as much of a turmoil as it can be. Really. The only thing at the moment to counterbalance this is that HTS is going brilliantly.

I love the net.

Real life is so cruel to me. And net life so nice. I wish I could be magically transported into my very own HTS and turned into Destiny. What bliss!

HTS Decisions

Decisions are an integral part of a forum, and I know that only too well. Also...I have a million forums to attend to. Like you might already know if you read my last post, I recently joined WEC, and registered to be a Professor. I don't believe they are going to accept me, I don't list any sites, and CH is not a member of WEC.

Anyway. Getting back to my big decision. I had to decide whether I wanted the code which centers the Category names or the one which separates the categories. In the end...I decided the former, though I think the forum would have looked nice with the later.

Sometimes..as I read the thoughts of other HM's. (Headmasters/Mistresses) I feel inadequate. As I see other skins...I feel inadequate. Only the my forum keeps me alive, keeps me strong. I have decided to have another character on HTS, as soon as I have 3-4 members. Her name...Angela Lane. Ms. Flamboyant.

My priorities...as I have learned from another dedicated admin, for this sunday are:

1. HTS
2. Maths AT preperation
3. All the other sites
4. Finding a fast filling graphic site.

I wish myself and HTS luck. May we remain strong.

We start...where is the end

"A journey of a thousand miles", they say "Starts with a single step". HTS (Hogwarts - The School)
a RPG site created by me, took that first step yesterday. (Link in the corner>)

Still not off maintenance mode , HTS took the first step yesterday because I finished making all the 25+ boards, and the headers and footers. I also managed to post in many of there boards. Now, I require the graphics and the codes...and I can safely say that in around a week or so more, HTS will be ready to launch out to the world. I don't want to make the mistake I made last time with my site Angel castle, I launched to early, and I never managed to actually make the board. I left it, because I forgot the drive, the passion required to be the Headmistress of a forum. If you would like to see - angelcastle.proboards67.com - it was not the fault of the site. Only mine. I was reminded of this passion yesterday, and inspiration struck anew. I thought of the stereotypical RPG's that were starting these days...and my plot hath struck me.

A million years after the days of Harry Potter and the golden trio who defeated Lord Voldermort, Hogwarts has risen again. This time, as the school it is truly supposed to be.

No more Death eaters, Voldermort, Order of the Phoenix, or DA. The worst trouble we are having is a few misguided slytherins, and a prankster group of students.

HTS strives to create a world out of the stereotyped Harry Potter RPG's. Our motto is 'Be original'. We don't have everything from the books and the movies, only some of it. We encourage creation, orignality and a sense of no-stereotypism. Gone are the days when every slytherin had cruel parents, every ravenclaw was a bookworm and camped out in the library, hufflepuff's were the loser house, and gryffindors were the misguided, much too brave versions of Harry Potter. Gone are the days of Mary-Sue's and Gary-Stu's. Of opressed house elves and wicked vampires.

HTS wants to create an atmosphere or friendly, carefree roleplaying, classes and fun. The much cooler version of commonplace school with a magical twist. We want a friendly community of role-players, each helping the other progress, each helping the other out. Even the newest role-players have a lot to contribute...we all start somewhere!

Come and join to be a part of this revolution. Of this role-playing spirit about to be born.

HTS has had a major inspiration, and I've grown since Angel Castle. I wanted my forum to be as professional as possible. If you will see the site once it is off MM, you will see that everything which is signed is signed HTS administration, staff and your very own headmistress, though I am the only member on the forum. It is the most professional way to do things.

Now...some background information is the need of the moment. Just a moment.

I am a very experienced roleplayer. As a hogwarts student, I've usually been a ravenclaw, and my charachter everything from the ravenclaw prefect to headgirl. My other favourite is the non-stereotype slytherin, the ambitious, hard-driven charachter.

For teaching, I reccomend seeing the following application I fill recently for WEC, another forum.
Character Name:Destiny Rahl/Star Diley/Angela Lane
School(s) taught at:Well, for the intrest of the privacy of those schools I used to teach at, I will not say. But...I can name a current school [as Angela Lane] I teach at...CH(I don't think we're registered...so I'm out of employment at the moment. Actually...this is because I'm a little busy, and I need to work on my own forum [which I will register here as soon as I have opened it].
Subject(s) taught:
Charms, Occulmency, Potions, Transfiguration, Muggle Studies, Herbology, Wandless Magic, Divination [though only shortly], Animagi and Astronomy.

Hmm...impressive list, even if I say so myself.

Now...time to bid adieu. Till next time,
